 Queensryche: American Soldier
« Thread Started on Jun 6, 2009, 10:37pm »

well I ended up buying American Soldier tonight.... I kinda went on & off on whether or not I wanted to get it, I thought the concept of it sounded interesting, I'm really into U.S. military history, but, being that Queensryche really hasnt made anything that good since like 1990, i wasn't really sure... however, I stumbled upon it at FYE and decided to listen to some audio samples of it, and I ended up liking what I heard, so I bought it... I actually really enjoy it, the war concept is good without getting too cheesy, like "The Glorious Burden" by Iced Earth... lots are probably going to compare the 2 albums, well I say American Solider by a longshot

So all in all, American Solider is worth buying in my opinion, an album far more patriotic than any "YAAAY IM AMERICAN CAUSE I DRIVE A FORD, YEEE HAAW GIT RRR DOOONE" albums by Toby Keith or Kenny Chesney or any other whiny sappy blue collar country singer

Yeah it's a great album. I love the title track. Especially the chorus "your target failed!" the stuff is so powerful live too. I saw them like 7 times on that tour.
